LISBON – A Lisbon man injured in an assault at Sabattus Creek Trailer Park on Tuesday night has been identified by police as Kenneth St. Peter, the park’s manager.
St. Peter was admitted to the intensive care unit at Central Maine Medical Center on Tuesday night with unspecified injuries and was released on Wednesday, according to Lisbon police Detective Bill Tapley.
The investigation was ongoing Thursday as police continued interviewing witnesses, Tapley said, and there was some conflicting information as to whether St. Peter was hit with a brick and a bat as opposed to fists. The initial report to police was that a brick and a bat were used.
The assault occurred when St. Peter intervened in a dispute between two park residents involving a previous incident, police said. Two local men, Toby Johnston, 30, a resident of the park, and Gerald Norman, 29, of Lisbon Falls were arrested Tuesday night in connection with the incident and charged with aggravated assault. They were later released on bail and scheduled to appear in court Sept. 25.
