MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will host an end-of-summer reading party for kids ages 2 to 15 on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The party will begin at 10 a.m. at the Calvin Lyons Hall, located next door to the library. All kids ages 2 and up who have been enrolled in the library’s summer reading program, “Catch the Reading Bug!,” are invited.
Every child who attends the party dressed in a “bug” costume will receive a small prize and have their name entered into a drawing for a larger prize.
Michelle Boucher-Ladd will be special guest and will present entertainment with her puppets. Following the puppet shows, certificates and prizes for summer reading will be given out to those who have participated in the program.
At the conclusion of the party, a pizza and soda lunch will be served.
