Hillview Resource Center, Lewiston, held a book fair for resident children. Each child chose five age-appropriate books to keep. Volunteers of America donated approximately 300 books to the center, and more than 50 children received books and a bookmark to further their reading skills. The fair was held in addition to the Lewiston Public Library’s Summer Reading Game and Hillview’s Mom’s and Babies Reading time each Wednesday. Hillview is Lewiston Housing Authority’s largest public housing development. Learn more about Lewiston Public Library’s Summer Reading Game at http://lplonline.org/. Kaytlynn Strout is showing one of her new books.
