Boosters to meet

RUMFORD – The Mountain Valley High School Boosters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Mountain Valley High School, Room 302. Members will welcome new people to the organization.

The group is looking for new members who are willing to help with fundraising and who have ideas to share.

Refreshments will be served. Future meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in high school room 302 (on the ramp).

Cancer walk

RUMFORD – A Maine Children’s Cancer Program walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, for the fourth year.

To form a team or walk as an individual, contact Sandee or Dick Welch at 364-2548, Denise Welch at 369-0619 or Debi Briggs at 364-2479.

Those who collect $50 will earn a T-shirt that is designed by one of the children who is fighting cancer. Send checks to Sandee Welch, 464 Virgin St., Rumford, ME, 04276-2330.
