Bible school kids do service projects

RUMFORD – Club Can-Do Kids sang at the Rumford Community Home on Aug. 15 as part of their service projects during Bible School at the Rumford United Methodist Church.

Twenty-one children spent a week of study Aug. 11 to 15. Daily activities included Bible stories, songs, crafts, recreation, class time and snacks, all around the theme of “Beach Party, Surfin’ through the Scriptures.”

Other service projects included bringing canned goods for the local food pantry and daily offering that went to the Plumpy’nut Project, which sends specially fortified peanut butter to feed malnourished children in Africa.

Sunday school classes will begin on Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St.

Adult Bible Study will meet at 9 a.m. and children’s classes and worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 364-8703.
