BETHEL – Frankie Delduca scored a pair of goals and Deagan Conrad added a key insurance goal late to help Telstar hold off pesky Dirigo 3-1 in an MVC boys’ soccer game Monday.

Delduca scored both of his goals in the first half to give the Rebels (3-0-1) a 2-0 halftime lead.

But the Cougars (1-2-1) cut the lead on Eric Bolduc’s unassisted goal. Dan Vaughn made eight saves for Telstar. Dirigo keeper Caleb Turner stopped seven shots.

St. Dom’s 7, Poland 0

AUBURN – Senior forward Matt Barlion notched a hat trick as St. Dom’s collected its’ fourth shutout in as many games in a 7-0 decision over Poland in WMC boys’ soccer action.

Sophomore Jack Erickson contributed with five assists, while four different players rounded out the goal scoring for the Saints (4-0).

Goalie Mike Littlefield made 12 saves for the Saints.

Nick Brigham and Aaron Allen turned back a pair of goals each for the Knights (0-4) .

Jay 4, Carrabec 3

NORTH ANSON – Dylan Stefani scored all four of Jay’s goals to help Jay capture their first win of the season over Carrabec 4-3.

Stefani scored his first three goals unanswered in the first half off of feeds from Devyn Rose.

Carrabec would come back in the second half to chip away at the lead with goals by Brian Jones, Kevin Taft, and Bryan James before Stefani notched the game-winner off a pass from Nick Raymond.

Dakota Paul made 17 saves for Jay, while Kenneth wood had 13 saves for Carrabec.

Gray-New Gloucester 1, Sacopee Valley 0

GRAY – Hans Neilsen piloted the only goal Gray-New Gloucester needed as the Patriots (1-2) narrowly escaped with a 1-0 victory over Sacopee Valley in WMC boys’ soccer action.

Neilsen’s goal came in the 34th minute on a conversion from Brandon Ryan. The shot was taken from the 20 yards out and was rifled inside the far post. Goalie Simon Lewis made four saves for the Hawks (2-1), while Evan Kenney turned back four for the Patriots.
