DIXFIELD – Jordan Theriault fired a long shot into the net with five minutes left in regulation to lift Mountain Valley to a 2-1 victory over Dirigo in MVC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

Tyson Hanson gave the Falcons (3-2) a 1-0 lead in the first half. The Cougars (1-3-1) answered when Tyler Gates scored early in the second frame. Gino Salgado made five saves for Mountain Valley, while Caleb Turner turned aside eight shots for Dirigo.

SALEM – Alex Crossman registered a hat trick as Mt. Abram rolled to a 7-0 rout over winless Carrabec.
