FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual Make Tracks for Kids walk-a-thon on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the gazebo in downtown Farmington, with the walk scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
Participants will make their way on a 2.5-mile walk through downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, being led by the Old Crow Indian Band.
The walk-a-thon goal is to raise awareness and funding for child abuse prevention programs in Franklin County and surrounding communities.
Any business, group or individual interested in having a team is encouraged to contact the Franklin County Children’s Task Force at 778-6960 for a fundraising packet.
