LEWISTON – The United Way of Androscoggin County welcomes April Caron to the organization. Caron is serving as the director of development.
Caron is responsible for the fundraising activities, creating new accounts, organizing campaign events, and establishing relationships with area businesses. She has more than 20 years of marketing and fundraising experience to the position. Having served as Tom Allen’s finance director in his 1996 primary bid for Congress, she later worked as a loaned executive for the United Way of York County, and served as director of development and communications for the York County and Mid-Coast Chapters of the American Red Cross.
She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Wheaton College and a master of arts degree from George Washington University.
She is married with two children.
