STRATTON – The Dead River Area Historical Society’s 2009 pictorial calendars are now available. The cover features Stratton High School Class of 1959 – 50 Years Ago with Florence Nile, Steve Jones, Randy Scribner, Janet Lander, Barbara Nile, Sandra Sylvester and Sharon Townsend.
The calendar picture for January is Stratton High School boys basketball team, 1948; February, Stratton High School girls basketball team, 1956; March, the mill dam at Eustis, about 1910; April, Green’s Farm House and Cottages, Coplin, about 1900; May, Old Flagstaff Village, 1950, showing flood waters coming in.
Also, June, Bat and Bernice Simpson’s children, 1998; July, Stratton school children, 1951; August, U.S, Border Station, Coburn Gore, about 1934; September, Round Barn and Farm, Dead River, about 1920; October, Stratton High School boys basketball team, 1952-53; November, Main Street, Flagstaff, 1907; December, second-grade class, Stratton School, 1950.

Calendars are available in Stratton at Pine’s Market, Northland Cash, Fotter’s Market and Arnold Trail Quality Fuel and Sports Center. There are many pictorial calendars left from previous years for sale at $2.50 each.
