FARMINGTON -Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a night GPS training from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.
Participants must have basic GPS skills, and previous GPS training is a plus.
The workshop will be held at the Farmington Municipal Building’s downstairs conference room.
Patty Cormier of the Maine Forest Service will conduct the training. Garmin GPS units will be provided for the hands-on learning about how to overcome some common challenges in the field.
The Upper Kennebec Valley Chapter of the Small Woodlot Owners Association of Maine is sponsoring the event.
The workshop cost is $20; $15 for those that have taken a previous district GPS class. Preregistration and payment are required in advance.
