The Central Maine Community College Bookstore participated recently in a “Save a Tree” promotion with the Nebraska Book Co. For every used book that the bookstore bought back from a student, the Nebraska company donated 50 cents toward the purchase of trees to be planted on campus. A total of $400 was collected and four new Korean dogwoods and two evergreens now grace the field near the main entrance to the campus. From left with one of the dogwoods are Ellsworth Gottlieb from the Nebraska Book Co., Nancy Carr and Chris Morin from the CMCC Bookstore.
