Hospital auxiliary to light memory tree
FARMINGTON – The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will have a Remembrance Tree at the hospital entrance, which will be lit throughout the holiday season.
Bulbs can be purchased “memory of” or “in honor of” one or more individuals for a $5 donation. A wreath will be on display in the lobby to show the names of the dedications, as well as the donors who made the gift. Proceeds will benefit the auxiliary.
The dedication and lighting of the tree will take place in the lobby entrance at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3. Caroling and special music will also take place and refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
“The ceremony is an opportunity to remember loved ones who have passed on and honor those special people in our lives who still live with us,” said hospital staff.
To order a bulb, send the name of the person a bulb to be “in honor of” or “in memory of” to Nancy Chase, 107 Rosewood Drive, Farmington, ME 04938.
