Physician addresses hospital auxiliary
JAY – The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its annual fall luncheon recently at Lafleur’s Restaurant. About 40 members attended.
The speaker was Dr. Carmen Crofoot, the new orthopaedic doctor at FMH. Crofoot gave a presentation concerning arthritis and joint and hip replacements. Jeri Cayer gave a short presentation about the new IECU unit at the hospital.
The FMH Auxiliary is planning holiday festivities, which include the memory tree and caroling at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the hospital. A crafts and bake sale will be held at the hospital main entrance on Friday, Dec. 5.
Auxiliary President Shannon Smith was featured on a television show, “6 Who Care,” on Nov. 5. She was presented a check for her community service.
The auxiliary raises funds through its gift shop and by selling memorial stones. The stones will be placed in the hospital healing garden walkway, under construction.
