LISBON – Lisbon Adult and Community Education has announced its continued course offerings as well as a number of new educational opportunities in the spring semester.
New courses for the spring include memoir writing, paranormal nonfiction, a series on healthy relationships, genealogy, reiki certification, relationship marketing, goal-setting in business and the study of U.S. history through Hollywood film.
There will be a continuation of newer offerings from last semester such as couples massage, belly dancing, meditation and intuition, dog obedience training and a number of creative expressions in painting and quilting.
Lisbon Adult and Community Education continues to offer General Educational Development testing and adult high school diploma completion, and includes a number of new opportunities to earn elective credit through enrichment classes.
Mainstay classes such as computer skills, yoga, pilates, hunter safety, ballroom dance, holiday crafts and community outreach sessions will continue.
Lisbon Adult and Community Education invites the public to check out the 19 Gartley St. location. Formerly the Lisbon Elementary School, it is home to the superintendent’s offices and additional space for adult education classes.
Adult education programs across the state are also celebrating the arrival of the Maine Adult Education Web portal. Through the portal site students are able to search for classes they want and find them at all adult educations near their homes.
