Woman notes 102nd year

LEWISTON – Andrea Poirier celebrated her 102nd birthday on Nov. 9 at the Chick-a-Dee Restaurant with four generations present. She was born Andrea Gagnon on Nov. 11, 1906.

The party was hosted by her daughters, Pauline Parker and Claire Veilleux. There were nieces and nephews from Maine and New Hampshire who attended and a brother-in-law, Roger Verville, of New Hampshire. Three grandsons and six great-grandchildren also attended.

Poirier has five children: Julie Durland of Florida, Bob and wife, Lorraine Poirier, of Florida, Bert and wife, Angie Poirier, of Massachusetts, Pauline Parker of Lewiston, and Claire and husband, Gill Veilleux, of Lisbon. She has 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
