LEWISTON – The L-A Senior College program at USM/L-A has announced a special series of seven one-day courses scheduled from Jan. 27 through Feb. 11.

The courses, to be presented by the program’s regular instructors, are available at no cost only to Senior College members. The courses and schedule are as follows:

“National Parks of the West”: instructor, Alan Elze, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Landscaped Gardens In and Around Cambridge, England”: instructor, June Spear, Thursday, Jan. 29, 9 a.m. to noon.

“The Theory of Relativity”: instructor, Hugh Keene, Monday, Feb. 2, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Me, Myself and I: Soliloquies by Shakespeare”: instructor, Barbara Randall, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The Meaning of Virtue and Ethics”: instructor, Charles Plummer, Wednesday, Feb. 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Organic Architect: Frank Lloyd Wright”: instructor, Alan Elze, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Laughter Revisited”: instructor, Ila Green, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The winter course offerings are a free bonus to current members only. Prompt registration is suggested, as class size is limited.
