Roland Fleming continues working on a puzzle as an Auburn firefighter heads out of the Roak Block where he lives. Alarms went off in the building after paper towels left on top of a toaster oven caught fire. “We have been instructed to stay in our rooms or wherever we are unless told otherwise when the alarms go off. The walls have really good fire insulation in this old building that used to be a shoe shop, where some of the residents used to work,” he said.
