WHITEFIELD, N.H. (AP) – A Massachusetts man is recovering from a snowmobile crash and 25-foot fall in Whitefield, N.H.
Authorities say 51-year-old Philip Sharpe of Framingham was on a trail that runs along railroad tracks Saturday afternoon when one of his snowmobile’s skis caught in the tracks. The snowmobile flipped over, and Sharpe slipped through a gap in the trestle onto the frozen Johns River about 25 feet below.
The man was taken to Weeks Memorial Hospital and then later flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
