BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) – Police say a skydiver was uninjured after he crashed into power lines during the Brattleboro Winter Carnival.

Cameron King, 28, of Jumptown, a skydiving school in Orange, Mass., was one of two skydivers to jump Saturday when a gust of wind blew him into the power lines in Living Memorial Park.

King was able to hang on to a voltage regulator until police arrived.

Central Vermont Public Service Corp. shut off power shortly after the crash.

Brattleboro Police Lt. Robert Kirkpatrick says rescuers used a fire truck with a ladder to remove the skydiver while a crowd of several hundred watched.
