AUBURN – Cecile M. Ouellette, 94, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died at the Clover Manor on Sunday, Feb. 22.

She was born in Lewiston, on Aug. 25, 1914, the daughter of Elzear and Cedelice Caron Guy. Educated in local schools, she was employed for many years as a fancy stitcher in area shoe shops. She was married to Adrien Ouellette, who passed away on Dec. 24, 1978. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, she had a lifelong love of country music, and was known in her family as an excellent cook.

Survivors include three daughters, Lorraine and husband, Robert Turgeon, of Peoria, Ariz., Germaine and husband, Walter Mathieu, of Tenino, Wash., and Venise and husband, Paul Grondin, of Lewiston; a sister, Lucienne Moreau of Lewiston; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son, Gerard Ouellette in 1991; a brother, Ronaldo Guy; and two sisters, Bernadette Morin and Priscilla Ouellette.
