LEWISTON – Raymond M. Parent, 76, of 72 Walnut St., passed away Monday, Feb. 23, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston, June 20, 1932, the son of the late Isadore and Lena Parent. He was educated in Lewiston schools and was married in 1958 to Irene Ducharme at Saints Peter and Paul church.

He was employed many years at Bates Manufacturing and then worked 11 years at FISC.

He enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles, bowling, golfing and attending family gatherings. Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 106.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Irene of Lewiston; a daughter, Linda Hall and husband, Mark, of Thorndike; two sons, Daniel Parent of Auburn and his companion, Julie Richardson, of Kittery and Paul Parent and companion, Debbie Gosselin, of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Tyson, Dustin, Matthieu, Jason, Kayla, Nicholas, Todd and Miles; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Castonguay of Monmouth and Fern Deletetsky of Auburn; and a niece, whom he considered to be a daughter, Dorothy Boucher of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by a grandaughter, Stephanie Hall; and his in-laws, Paul and Marie Ducharme.
