FARMINGTON – Jenna is a lovely, medium-haired gray and white female cat waiting for a home at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Staff describe her as both sweet and sassy. She can be found basking in a sunny window or batting around her favorite toy, depending on her mood.

Staff said Jenna does not care for the company of dogs, but other cats are fine.

New dogs at the shelter include a brindle pit mix male from Jay and a chocolate husky mix female from Industry.

Staff said they commonly get calls from residents in the community wanting to bring in stray dogs and cats. However, staff said, according to state law, all animals need to be brought to the shelter by the local animal control officer, which ensures the safety of all parties.
