Kevin Stilphen, marketing and economics teacher at Lewiston Regional Technical Center, brainstorms with his students during the Junior Achievement third annual Titan Challenge at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College in Lewiston on Thursday. Forty teams of high school students competed during the online competition. Teams gathered at four college campuses around the state to see who could run the most profitable company. Each team created a fictional business and submitted a business plan to market and sell their product, a “Holo-Generator.” Volunteer advisers from Maine businesses assisted students with their strategies. A team from Poland Regional High School placed second in the Upper Field 2 Industry division. Adam Gallant, Kelsey Nadeau and Ashley Pillsbury Coyne each received $100 savings bonds. Talking with Stilphen, from left, are Mike Butler, Devin Carrier and Tyler Lussier.
