EXETER, N.H. (AP) – This month’s dance at Exeter, N.H., High School is off because of student dancing called grinding.

Principal Victor Sokul called off the March Madness dance to give the school and community time to meet and discuss dancing rules.

Sokul asked 19 students to leave a Valentine’s dance last month because they were grinding on the dance floor. It’s a type of dance where two or more dancers rub their bodies together.

Students say there’s nothing sexual about the dance.
