Legion supper

LIVERMORE FALLS – A public supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the George Bunten Post 10, American Legion. The price will be $7; $5 for kids. It will be a potluck supper, so there will be a variety of dishes. Everyone is invited.

St. Pat’s dinner

INDUSTRY – The United in Christ Presbyterian Church will host a St. Patrick’s Day dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Industry Town Hall.

The menu will include corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, baked beans, breads, desserts and beverages. Adults are $7 and children under 12 are $3.

Concert, supper

WILTON – A concert and spaghetti supper will take place Saturday, March 21, at the American Legion Hall, Main Street, to raise funds for Tom Pillsbury’s dialysis and kidney transplant.

Supper will be at 6 p.m. for a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. The concert, by the band Greater Purpose, which plays mostly original inspirational Christian music, will start at 7 p.m. There will also be raffle items. For more information, call Brenda at 562-7167.

Mills to speak

FARMINGTON – The roles and responsibilities that come with being attorney general will be described at a 7 p.m. meeting Monday, March 23, downstairs at the Farmington Town Office.

Franklin County Farm Bureau has arranged for Maine Attorney General Janet Mills to share information about the job. Everyone is invited. Refreshments will be available.

Benefit supper

JAY – A benefit supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at St. Rose Parish Hall. Kim Couture, who has multiple sclerosis, is sponsoring the supper.

The cost is $5 a person. Spaghetti and meatballs, coleslaw, bread and dessert will be served. There will also be a raffle and prizes will be drawn the night of the supper. All proceeds will benefit the MS Society.

Variety show

STRONG – The Strong School Variety Show, featuring music, comedy and drama, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the school. Cost is $5 a person. Donations will include a brownie ice cream sundae. Proceeds will benefit the Strong School eighth-grade class trip.

Dance, supper

JAY – A spaghetti supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the KC Hall, Route 4. Cost will be $7 adults, $4 children. There will be raffle tickets and 50/50 drawings.

A dance will follow from 7 to 10 p.m. with music by Shredder Blues, a local group. Proceeds will benefit the Good Neighbor Tri-Town Ministerial Fuel Fund.

Scholarships

ELLSWORTH – The Maine Community Foundation manages more than 400 scholarship funds benefiting students in every county in Maine.

MaineCF scholarships support students pursuing music, journalism, teaching, horticulture, technology, the liberal arts and other fields.

They are available for students attending secondary, post-secondary and graduate schools, as well as nontraditional programs.
