LEWISTON – Pauline C. McGuigan, 74, of 19 Janelle St., Lewiston, died peacefully on Sunday, March 29, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston, on June 26, 1934, the daughter of John F. and Emelina Begin McGuigan. Educated in local schools, she was employed as a secretary in the insurance industry for many years, living and working in Connecticut. She returned to Maine in the early 1970s to care for her mother.
In her younger days, she was an avid golfer and had a lifelong interest in politics, for a time serving as the president of the Young Republicans in Connecticut.
A member of Holy Cross Church, she is survived by her sister, Theresa M. LaBrie of Saco; a niece, Patricia LaBrie of Rollinsford, N.H.; her daughter, Erin Houghton, and a nephew, Paul LaBrie of Exeter; his wife, Sharon and their son, Jonathan LaBrie of Dover, N.H.
