A survey of the recreation habits of 1,331 Lewiston school girls and what they would like to see in recreational facilities has been completed by the Lewiston-Auburn Community Council. Plans for a new elderly housing project in the former Marcotte Nursing Home in Lewiston will be unveiled Tuesday morning by officials of the home and Shelter Group Inc., a Lewiston development firm.

The Lewiston City Council will review plans for the proposed Maison Marcotte Tuesday night. The project will require the use of industrial revenue bond financing and “air rights” for a connector to St. Mary’s General Hospital, according to a council agenda information sheet.

St. Mary’s General Hospital and Marcotte Home Community Relations Director Barbara Trafton refused to comment on the project Monday afternoon. She said the details of the project will be released during a news conference at 9 a. m. Tuesday.
