AUBURN – The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington Street. An Easter dinner will be served with Lucien Marcoux as main chef, along with volunteer helpers. Members should bring their own cups. Following the meeting and dinner, bingo will be played.
President Virginia Houston presided over the April 8 meeting, and Kaye Hewison, Ellie Rolerson and Ralph Lashua were well enough to return from their illnesses. It was noted the newsletter will now be distributed at the first meeting of the month in order to accommodate printed copy of the monthly report.
April birthdays were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Tony Darling and Midge Demers; pot of gold, George Remillard, Theresa Greenleaf and Adele Delmonico; mystery prize, Bernice Brooks, Sylvia Thibodeau and George Herrick Sr.
Beverly Lashua won an appropriately decorated Easter basket prepared and donated by member Joan Webb.
Visitors and potential members are welcome at Robin Dow meetings. Membership requires a new member be 55 or older, with no residency restrictions. Bingo is played at most all meetings, with a variety of different activities throughout the year.
The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. For more information, phone Lucy Cowles, membership chairwoman, at 782-2348.
