AUBURN – The Auburn Waste Management Advisory Committee in collaboration with the city of Auburn, Auburn Parks and Recreation Department, Auburn Police Department, Auburn Fire Fighters Local 797, Auburn School Department, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Androscoggin Land Trust, Auburn Land Lab, L/A Trails and Councilor Raymond Berube will sponsor a Community Cleanup Day in observance of Earth Day.
The cleanup day will be held Saturday, April 25, with a rain date of Sunday, April 26. All volunteers should meet at at 9 a.m. at the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department located on Pettingill Road, where work assignments along with the necessary tools will be distributed.
Areas targeted for cleanup are roadside pick-up, parks cleaning, riverbank pick-up, trails clearing and graffiti cleanup.
