LEWISTON – Normand B. Dozois, 72, of Adele Street, Lewiston, died on Tuesday, April 28, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born in Lewiston, on June 29, 1936, the son of the late Aime and Yvonne (Nadeau) Dozois. He was very proud to have been raised in “The Little Canada” section of Lewiston. He graduated from St. Dominic’s High School and went on to attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1959. He was married to Joan Jalbert on Sept. 9, 1967, at St. Louis Church in Auburn and together they raised their family in Lewiston. He worked at and was a manager of Clark’s Pharmacy for more than 25 years before retiring due to illness. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish Holy Cross Church, a past member of The Holy Cross Bowling League. He enjoyed tennis and especially hockey, following his son playing youth hockey and for St. Dominic Regional High School.

He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Joan (Jalbert) Dozois of Lewiston; his son, Michael Dozois and his significant other, Jamie Bannister, of Lewiston; his daughter, Celina Dozois Musacchio of Portland; three grandchildren, Autumn Martel-Dozois, Ashton and Gibson Dozois, all of Lewiston; his aunt and uncle, Raymond and Murielle Ouellette of Florida; his nephew and godchild, Marc Micciche; and several cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Fernand Dozois.
