AUBURN — The wedding of Elizabeth Getchell and Michael O’Connor was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Martindale Country Club in Auburn. The Rev. Andy White officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. O’Connor is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Getchell of Minot. Mr. O’Connor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad O’Connor of Minot.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a diamond white gown embellished with sequins and beads with a lace-up back. She carried a bouquet of red roses.
Sarah Reed, friend, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Betty Marchessault, friend, Kelli O’Connor, sister of the bridegroom, and Victoria Conant, cousin of the bride. April Givens, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Shawn O’Connor performed the duties of best man for his brother. Ushers were Andy Davis, friend, Jon Roy, cousin of the bridegroom, and Greg Getchell, brother of the bride.
A reception followed at Martindale Country Club, after which the couple honeymooned in Ireland. They are residing in Minot.
The bride is a graduate of Poland Regional High School and attended the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed at TD Banknorth.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Poland Regional High School and Southern Maine Community College. He is employed at L&D Builders.
