OAKLAND – Kayla Cummings singled in a pair of runs in the 10th inning to lift Edward Little to a 3-1 victory over Messalonskee in KVAC softball action Monday.

Alyssa Levesque contributed a pair of runs and went the distance on the mound for the Red Eddies (5-3) in the winning effort. Brittany Corey had a double for the Eagles (4-3).

St. Dom’s 6, Sacopee Valley 5

HIRAM – Alex Landry singled in Meg Poulin in the eight inning to lift St. Dom’s to a 6-5 win over Sacopee Valley.

Lindsey Nance struck out two and held the Hawks to just four hits.

Monmouth 4, Livermore Falls 3

LIVERMORE FALLS – Kelsie Hilton smacked an RBI double in the top of the fourth inning to give Monmouth the advantage they needed to beat Livermore Falls 4-3.

Britney Souther had a two-run double for the Andies.

Brewer 8, Oxford Hills 3

BREWER – Emily Frasier had a pair of hits to lead the Brewer offensive attack as the Witches beat the Oxford Hills Vikings 8-3. Megan Gauger had an RBI double for the Vikings.

Nokomis 6, Lewiston 5

NEWPORT – Barbara Knight knocked in the game-winning run to lift Nokomis to a 6-5 win over the Blue Devils in eight innings. McKenzie Sullivan had an RBI triple for the Blue Devils (0-8).

Jay 7, Madison 2

JAY – Emily Boivin led the Jay offensive effot with an RBI triple as the Tigers beat Madison 7-2. Alexii Smith collected the win and struck out eight batters in the process.

Mt. Abram 6, Dirigo 2

DIXFIELD – The Roadrunners produced four hits and three runs in the first inning and went on to beat Dirigo 6-2.

Rachel Fullerton, Jillian Withee, Emma Twitchel and Dani Smith all had two hits each for Mt. Abram (5-2). Nikki Berry and Katrina Pulk had a pair of hits for the Cougars (4-4). Molly McCafferty scattered seven hits to earn the win.

Mt. Blue 4, Leavitt 3

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue scored four unearned runs as the Cougars escaped with a 4-3 win over Leavitt.

Kassara Varney cracked a two-run double for the Hornets. But, the Cougars (4-4) collected their fourth unearned run in the bottom of the frame and held on for the win.

Lisbon 12, Winthrop 0

LISBON – Lisbon scored twelve runs on ten hits in the first inning to shut out Winthrop, 12-0.

Kyrstin Ramich had a three-RBI double while Sam Purcell had two runs on her double. Kimber Morse earned the win with five strikeouts.

Maranacook 8, Oak Hill 1

READFIELD – Sarah Maxwell struck out 18 and allowed just four hits in an 8-1 win over Oak Hill. Maxwell also had four hits.

Amanda Laporte added three hits while Allie Kennedey had two hits and drove in two runs.

Fryeburg 7, Wells 0

FRYEBURG – Hannah Hill fanned eight and tossed a no-hitter as Fryburg blanked Wells 7-0. Brylie Walker collected three hits and two RBIs to lead the Raiders (7-0) .

Gray-New Gloucester 4, Poland 0

POLAND – Pitcher Laura Getchell fanned 12 batters and recorded two RBIs to help lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 4-0 win over Poland.

Kassie Wilson and Rachel Edson each had a pair of base hits for The Patriots (7-2). Kristy Gray had the only hit for the Knights (0-8)

Lacrosse

Brunswick 15, Edward Little 1

BRUNSWICK – Brunswick netted fifteen unanswered goals to post a dominating 15-1 win over Edward Little in girls’ lacrosse action Monday.

Cecelia Kjellman notched three goals for the Dragons (5-0) . Alicia Large tallied Edward Little’s (0-4) lone goal.

Lewiston 9, Lincoln 4

NEWCASTLE – Saba Naji scored a pair of goals, while Shelby Turcotte netted one and assisted on one to lead Lewiston to a 9-4 win over Lincoln. Kristen Lacasse, Michelle Rancourt, Olivia Fournier, Kayla Hamel, Kim Archibals, and Megan Pelletier all scored for the Blue Devils (3-2). Molly Stackhouse scored two goals for Lincoln (1-5).
