RUMFORD – Pennacook Art Center is sponsoring art classes and workshops in Mexico, Rumford, Weld and Norway this summer for beginners and artists at all skill levels.

Saturday workshops will include portraiture, drawing, encaustic, mixed media, how to mix color, how to choose art supplies and outdoor landscape painting. Open studio classes and beginning drawing are also being offered during the week.

Instructors will be Betsy Bell of Mexico, Pat Chandler of Norway and Heather Westleigh of Bridgton.

Classes are as follows:

Basic Drawing (Fun with a Pencil) with Betsy Bell, Tuesdays 6 to 9 p.m. in Mexico.

Open Studio Class with Pat Chandler, Thursdays 1 to 4 p.m. in Mexico or Norway.

June 6, The Artist’s Eye (drawing workshop) with Betsy Bell, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mexico.

June 20, Mixed Media Encaustic Painting with Heather Westleigh, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Norway.

June 27, Mixed Media with Pat Chandler, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Norway.

July 11, All About Color with Betsy Bell, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mexico.

July 18, Encaustic Experimentation with Heather Westleigh, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Norway.

Aug. 8, Paints and Pigments with Betsy Bell, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mexico.

Aug. 15, Plein Air Painting (outdoor landscape) with Pat Chandler, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Weld.
