BUCKFIELD – National Trails Day will be noted Saturday, June 6. A call has been made for volunteers willing to work on trail/roadside cleanup at the Western Foothills Land Trust’s Virgil Parris Community Forest Property at South Pond in Buckfield from 8 a.m. to noon.

Those interested should meet at the Buckfield Town Garage on the John Ellingwood Road. Trucks with Buckfield waste disposal permits will be needed. Call 739-2124 for more information.

Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met May 22 in the Fare Share Commons Building, Main Street, when a 3-table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in Flight A were Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; second, Priscilla Roth and Haziel Glazier, who also were first in Flight B; third in Flight A, Suzane Andrews and Pete Cummings; second in Flight B, Bev Pelletier and Jim Dickens; third, Elaine Dresser and Kathy Cummings.

There will be another game at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 29. All bridge players are invited. A partner is guaranteed, and there is parking in the rear.
