FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue High School tennis teams will hold their annual Barry Carlson Memorial Tennis 24-hour Marathon this weekend.

The action will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and continue to 9 a.m. Sunday at the Hippach Field courts on the Intervale.

The two teams, including 50-plus members, welcome area tennis players to stop by to challenge a team member or simply to come and support their efforts. Members will play all day and night to raise money for the school’s tennis equipment fund. Donations will be accepted and appreciated.

The marathon is dedicated to the memory of Barry Carlson who was the first coach of the girl’s Mt. Blue High School tennis team. He loved the game of tennis and imparted that love to his players.

The Mt. Blue boys’ and girls’ teams enjoy showcasing the sport by participating in this marathon every year.
