As a Roxbury resident, I am shocked and upset to learn that some people in town are still trying to defeat the windmill project. The project has been voted on twice and accepted twice. What part of “yes” does some people not understand?
Town residents have been advised that if another vote is taken, there could be legal risks for the town and citizens. It is also rumored that people are changing their place of residence just so they can vote against the project if a vote is allowed.
That is just not right! To me, those people are not out to save Roxbury, but to cause trouble for all of the town.
I am told that the selectmen have the right to deny the petition for a new vote. I am hoping they do just that. They should deny the petition and allow the votes to stand, just as the project was accepted twice before.
