The Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum board and friends honored the museum founder, Rodney C. Richard Sr. (seated, right), as they surprised him with a new sign for the museum on July 19. Richard thought the twin bears he carved were for Treasurer Harry Simon. Board member Wayne Lessard with his wife, Velma, and Vice President Ron Haines made the planter and the sign. Richard, with a group of Rangeley friends and relatives, founded the museum 30 years ago. It is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday and Sunday.
