Ceara J. Teixeira of Lewiston was recently inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa.

Teixeira, a rising sophomore majoring in graphic design, is a 2008 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School of Auburn. She is the daughter of Randall and Lisa Teixeira.

The purpose of the national honor society for freshmen is to encourage superior scholastic achievement among students during their first year in institutions of higher education; to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning; and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.
