LEWISTON — Lewiston Adult Education is offering numerous computer courses at a variety of different levels.

There are options for beginner users as well as for those with more experience, from courses such as “Absolute Beginner Computers,” “Computer Literacy” and “Keyboarding Skills,” to courses on more advanced topics such as “Internet Basics,” “Web Design” and “PC Troubleshooting and Maintenance.”

Adult education is also offering training on the computer programs most commonly used at work, such as “MS Excel,” “QuickBooks” and “MS Office 2007 Integrated,” in addition to classes on using the computer for fun, such as “Adobe Photoshop,” “The Basics of Selling on eBay” and “Introduction to Video Game Programming.”

Many of the computer courses count for credit towards the clerical, medical office or accounting assistant certificates.

Classes begin as early as the week of Aug. 31, and nearly all courses meet in the evenings. For more information or to register, visit www.lewistonadulted.org or call 795-4141.
