Chicken pie sale

SOUTH PARIS — The Deering Memorial United Methodist Church is having a homemade chicken pie sale to benefit the tower fund. Cost is $10.50 for a 9-inch pie. All orders must be placed by Thursday, Sept. 17. Pies may be picked up at the church from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. To order, call 743-2503.

Swingin’ Bears

PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will begin its 2009-10 season on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, South Paris. Ray Hilton will be the caller for the square dancing and Carol Stewart will be the curer for the round dancing. Refreshments will be offered at intermission. Admission is $6 each person.

Bean supper

NORWAY —  A public baked bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday Sept. 19, at the Norway Masonic Lodge Hall, 9 Temple St. Cost is $7 each person; $4 for children under 12. Senior Citizen day

OXFORD — Senior Citizen Day at the Oxford County Fair is Tuesday, Sept. 15. Evening entertainment will be provided by Lolalee and the County Bandits, from 6 to 8 p.m.
