Harvest festival

LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Revitalization Committee will sponsor a harvest festival from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at MTM Park, 18 School St. There will be games, face painting, pumpkin painting and a bake sale. Bridge play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club held its club appreciation game on Oct. 6 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; second, Richard Balian and Nancy Lindgren; third, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; fourth, Paul Sherman and Nancy Farmer. Winners in Flight B were: first, Paul Sherman and Nancy Farmer; second, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the center.

The club also held another club appreciation game on Oct. 7 at Scooner Estates in Auburn. Flight A winners were: first, Anna Vitiello and Lucille Theriault; second, Luke Merry and Paul Barber; third, Fred Letourneau and Patricia Quinn; fourth, Leslie Buzzell and John Hackett. Flight B winners were Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin. Another game will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at both games. HS meeting

MINOT — The Minot Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Minot Town Office, Route 119. Willi Irish will speak on “Games of the 1800s.” Irish has worked at the Norlands Living History Center in Livermore for 32 years. For 25 of those years, she has been the Director of Interpretation. Retired educators

AUBURN — The Androscoggin Retired Educators Association
will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Park Avenue
Methodist Church. for the annual scholarship auction. Auction items should be brought to the church by 10:00 a.m. A chicken dinner will be served by the ladies of the church. The cost of lunch is $10.00. For reservations, call George and Pat Jacobs at 946-5052.
