MECHANIC FALLS — Mechanic Falls-Minot-Poland Adult and Community Education’s fall program is underway. The Learning Center is accepting new day and evening students who are at least 17 years old for skill upgrading, high school diplomas and GED testing. Snowmobile Safety: Participants will learn how to properly operate and maintain a snowmobile. Laws and responsibilities, map and compass, environmental/landowner ethics, personal safety, first aid and survival skills will be covered. Exam and 100 percent attendance is required. For more information, see www.mefishwildlife.com. Children must be at least 10 years old and if 15 or under, must be accompanied by an adult throughout the course. Class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Nov. 17 to 19. Fee, $5.

Being Healthy Naturally: The class will cover the three eating principles, three healing principles and two common sense principles of holistic wellness. Participants will receive a booklet outlining the principles and how to implement them. An eating plan and recipes are included. The class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. Fee, $6.

Belly Dance: The ongoing class will begin a new six-week session on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The introductory class will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and intermediate class from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fee, $15.

Fitness for Life: A new session for the ongoing step aerobics and resistance exercise class will begin on Thursday, Nov. 5. First class sign up will be at 6 p.m. and class will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fee, $25.

Buying and Selling on the Internet: Attendees will learn the basics of Internet commerce on eBay. E-mail and Internet knowledge is required and bank account information will be needed for those who want to join PayPal. Class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Fee, $16.

Digital Camera: Participants will learn the basics of digital cameras. Class will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. Fee, $16.

Holiday Newsletter: Participants will create and format a holiday newsletter for family and friends incorporating pictures and family highlights. Class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Fee, $12.

Iris Folding Greeting Cards: Attendees will learn a new card making technique. A card will be made in class and material for three cards will be provided. Class will meet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Fee, $6 plus $3 for materials payable to instructor.

Standard First Aid: Acquire the skills necessary to give basic care in an emergency situation; CPR not included. Students will be required to pass both a written and skills test in order to receive a First Aid completion card. Class will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. Fee, $50.
