Chocolate extravaganza

DIXFIELD — A “Chocolate Extravaganza” event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at the T.W. Kelly Dirigo Middle School. The event will benefit Gabby Severance, an eighth-grader who is battling cancer.

A $5 donation will buy an entire plate of chocolate desserts. For more information or to donate a chocolate dessert, call Nancy Carr at 562-7552,  ext. 119. The event is sponsored by the middle school staff.

Performance

DIXFIELD — Singer/songwriter Sammie Angel will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 19, at the Dixfield Congregational Church coffee house.

Angel plays classics and oldies with her favorite being country and gospel. She has played with many great musicians and has played for many years in the area. Cost for adults is $5, children under 12 accompanied by an adult, free. Homemade desserts and coffee, tea and soda will be on sale.

Stephens class

RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1945 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at King Wok Restaurant, Congress Street. Those planning to attend should notify Connie at 364-8785 or Muriel at 545-2709.

Widows group

RUMFORD — The Widow or Widowers Sharing group will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Senior Citizens Hall, 50 Congress St. Guest speaker will be Laurie Winsor, who will speak about Life Line.
