AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24,  at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31 American Legion, 426 Washington St. Following the meeting, an Easter dinner will be served, with bingo to follow. Members are reminded to bring their cups.

The Easter dinner will consist of baked ham with pineapple and raisin sauce, whipped potatoes, buttered green beans, bread and butter and a light dessert, all served under the direction of Lucien Marcoux with his assistants.

There will be an Easter hat parade, and those interested may create their own version of an Easter hat to enter the contest. Prizes will be awarded for the most original Easter hat.

Forty-four members were present when the group met on March 10, with president Merry Strout presiding. Lucy Cowles led the group in a moment of silence in memory of Jackie Daunis, a member of longtime standing, who passed away March 2.

Attendance prize winners were Philip Cyr and Shirley Huntley; pot of gold, Yvette Frechette, Aileen Harnden and Virginia Howe; mystery prize winners, George Herrick Jr., Clara Hahn and Natalie St. Clair. After the meeting and a bag lunch, bingo was played.

Under the direction of chairwoman Evelyn Sawin, members and friends of Robin Dow Seniors enjoyed a trip on March 12 to Indian Head Resort, Lincoln, N.H., to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The dinner menu and entertainment was observed in the regular Irish tradition. Plans are presently underway for a trip to Foster’s Lobster House in York, on June 18 for $55. For reservations, see Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or call 998-4577.
