Don Rose placed the Boston Post Cane into a case he built of birch and native Greene oak Monday at the dedication of the new town office in Greene. Rose dedicated the case to his parents, Harvey and Elsie Rose, and has three relatives who were awarded the cane for being the town’s oldest resident. The current honorary holder is 100-year-old Barbara Nelson.
