Bridge play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship at the Multi-Purpose Center on June 28 were as follows: Strata A, first, Richard Balian and Dick Allen; second, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; third, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; fourth, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; fifth, Martha Young and Rosemarie Goodwin.

Strata B, first, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; second, Alberta Turner and Anna Vitiello; third, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird. Strata C, first, Judy Abromson and Helen Little; second, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games. No game will be played on Monday, July 5.

NEW GLOUCESTER — Opportunity Farm for Boys and Girls has announced the Phil and Catharine Guiles Achievement Award recipients. The award is presented to dedicated volunteers whose commitment, leadership and loyalty personify the qualities of Phil and Catharine Guiles.

The 2010 honorees include Jim Giffune of New Gloucester, Mike Healy of Freeport, Lincoln Ladd of Wayne, John and Denny Palmer, Tim and Howsie Stewart of Yarmouth and John Staples of Topsham

Fellowship

LISBON — The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street, Lisbon Falls, to travel to Beaver Park for a picnic.

Each member should bring their own lunch with something to share, if they wish. If inclement weather, the group will remain at the church for lunch.

Adult ed classes

TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will offer piano instruction for students of beginner, primary or intermediate level, beginning Monday, July 12.

An Introduction to Life Coaching class will also start on July 12. Participants will learn about life coaching. It will also be offered on Wednesday, July 21. Attendees need only to attend one session.
