PARIS — Brandon Chase led an offensive onslaught with a grand slam in the fourth inning and finish with five RBIs on the night as Bessey Motors drove past Bethel 11-1 in a six-inning, run-rule-shortened game at the Gouin Complex in Paris on Tuesday.

Travis Linehan added a triple and a single, while Matt Verrier connected for a double and a single for Bessey (13-1), and Jake Fillebrown went the distance to record the win.

James Kimball drove home Bethel’s run with a single in the third, and T.J. O’Connor had the other hit for Bethel (6-9).

Brunswick 12, Mechanic Falls 6

MECHANIC FALLS — Frank Angelico had two hits and drove in four runs to lead Brunswick to a 12-6 win over Mechanic Falls in American Legion action Tuesday.

Zack Lavoie had a pair of hits and drove in a run while Conner Kelly and Matt Chart each had two hits. Mechanic Falls (1-14) got two hits and an RBI from Shane Waters. Dylan Douglass and Ben Verrill also added two hits.

Brunswick (5-9) scored four runs in the first inning and then broke open a 6-2 lead with five in the fourth.

Swasey-Torrey 18, No. Oxford County 11

DIXFIELD — James Moulton had four hits, scored four runs and drove in five to lead Swasey-Torrey to an 18-11 win in an American Legion slugfest Tuesday.

Swasey-Torrey (9-6) scored five runs in each of the first two innings and built a 10-1 lead before Northern Oxford County (5-9) scored seven in the fourth to trim the deficit. Swasey-Torrey added one in the fourth, two in the fifth and five in the sixth to pad the lead.

Tyler Chaisson, Ryan Lafleur and David Gilford all had three hits for Swasey-Torrey. Gilford added two RBI. Connor Blais, Alex Gagnon and Izaack Mills each had three hits for Northern Oxford. Mills also drove in a pair.
