Speaking of the River Valley and the 10 towns that the Chamber incorporates, the Chamber board of directors would like to just take a moment of your time to explain to you, the residents of the River Valley, the importance of you supporting the Chamber through your town initiated articles that are placed yearly on the warrant on which you vote. Understanding the dynamics of an organization is crucial to your commitment to it.

The Chamber of Commerce is driven by its member businesses and organizations alike. Without them, there would be no reason to have a Chamber of Commerce. One of the Chamber’s responsibilities is to have resources and tools for businesses to utilize to help them grow and prosper. Avenues such as affordable advertising, health insurance plans offered by Anthem at group pricing, or a trade show to promote the business or organization are a few examples.

Businesses in your community are a huge part of your town’s tax base and without them your taxes would definitely be higher. You need to support businesses in your community and you can do that by supporting the Chamber as well as the businesses themselves. The Chamber is not federally funded nor does it have the ability to go after grants because of our business-based non-profit organization status. We are truly here to serve our local businesses and organizations and your help is needed to keep all of us intact.
