Lodge event
RUMFORD — The Rumford Elks Lodge 862 will host a NASCAR night on Saturday, Aug. 21, in the lodge. Sausage subs will be served (regular and hot) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for $6 each.
There will be a 50/50, race pools, games and raffles. All are welcome to attend. The race starts at 7:30 p.m. in Bristol. For more information, call Sandee Welch at 364-2548 or 418-9650.
Class lunch
RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the River Valley Grill.
Coffee house
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will sponsor a Coffee House from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, in the annex on High Street. Jamie Virgin and Gary Petrie will perform.
Cost for adults will be $5; children under 12, free accompanied by an adult. Homemade desserts, coffee, tea and soda will be on sale during the evening.
School supplies
RUMFORD — Praise Assembly of God will pass out backpacks filled with school supplies beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, on Waldo Street across from Fontaine’s.
There is no cost to participate and all are welcome. For more information, call 364-3856.
